  • The CSA240Q device is a current sense amplifier with voltage output. It features enhanced PWM suppression, allowing it to detect the voltage drop across a shunt resistor over a wide common-mode voltage range from -6V to 80V. The -6V common-mode voltage capability of the CSA240Q enables the device to operate below ground potential. For example, in applications such as detecting the flyback period of a solenoid, enhanced PWM suppression provides high-level attenuation of large common-mode transients in systems controlled by PWM signals. This feature allows for precise current measurement without significant transients and associated recovery ripple on the output voltage.The device operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V, with a typical supply current of 1.4mA and a typical bandwidth of 550kHz. The CSA240Q offers three fixed gain options: 20V/V, 50V/V, and 100V/V. Its zero-drift architecture enables low full-scale current sensing down to 10mV across the shunt (typical value). All versions are specified to operate over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and are available in SOIC-8 and TSSOP-8 packages.
