The CSA521/CSA521Q/CSA5212 are voltage-output, current shunt monitors (also known as current-sense amplifiers), typically used for overcurrent protection, precision current measurement for system optimization, or closed-loop feedback circuits. These devices can sense the voltage drop across a shunt resistor over a common-mode voltage range of −0.3V to 36V, independent of the supply voltage. Six fixed gain options are provided: 20V/V, 25V/V, 50V/V, 75V/V, 100V/V, and 200V/V. These devices operate from a single supply voltage of 2.7V to 5.5V and consume a maximum supply current of 250μA. The operating temperature range is from −40°C to +125°C, and they are available in SC70-6, SOT23-6, and MSOP-10 packages.
