ADY2008 is a 16-bit, 8-channel simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition system (DAS). These devices integrate analog input clamp protection, a second-order anti-aliasing filter, a sample-and-hold amplifier, a 16-bit charge redistribution successive approximation ADC, flexible digital filters, a 2.5 V reference, reference buffer, and high-speed serial and parallel interfaces. The ADY2008 series can handle true bipolar input signals of ±10 V and ±5 V when powered by a single 5 V supply, with a sampling throughput rate of up to 200 kSPS for all channels. The input clamp protection circuitry can withstand voltages up to ±16.5 V. Regardless of the sampling frequency, the ADY2008 maintains an analog input impedance of 1 MΩ. With on-chip filtering and high input impedance, external op amps are not required to drive the anti-aliasing filter of the ADY2008 series. The anti-aliasing filter has a 3 dB cutoff frequency of 22 kHz, offering anti-aliasing suppression characteristics reaching 40 dB at a sampling rate of 200 kSPS. The flexible digital filter, configurable via pins, can reduce bandwidth and improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
