ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 are a series of multi-channel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit, ΔΣ analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with an integrated programmable gain amplifier (PGA), internal reference, and an onboard oscillator. The ADC's wide dynamic range, scalable data rates, and internal fault detection monitors make ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 highly attractive for industrial power monitoring and protection as well as test and measurement applications. True high-impedance inputs enable ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 to directly interface with resistor divider networks or voltage transformers to measure line voltage, or with current transformers or Rogowski coils to measure line current. With high integration and superior performance, the ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 series enables the creation of scalable industrial power systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and lower overall cost. Each channel of ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 has a flexible input multiplexer that can be independently connected to internally generated signals for testing, temperature sensing, and fault detection. Fault detection can be implemented internally using integrated comparators with DAC-controlled trigger levels. ADX3224/ADX3226/ADX3228 can operate at data rates up to 64kSPS. These complete analog front-end (AFE) solutions come in a QFP-64 package and are rated for an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
