The ADX112(Q) is a precision, low-power, 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides all the functionalities required for measuring the most common sensor signals within MSOP-10 package or ultra-small leadless package QFN-10. The ADX112(Q) integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), voltage reference, oscillator, and high-precision temperature sensor. These features, along with a wide power supply range of 2V to 5.5V, make the ADX112(Q) highly suitable for power-limited and space-constrained sensor measurement applications. The ADX112(Q) can perform conversions at data rates of up to 860 samples per second (SPS). The PGA offers input ranges from ±256mV to ±6.144V, allowing for high-resolution measurement of both large and small signals. The input multiplexer (MUX) allows for the measurement of two differential or four single-ended inputs. A high-precision temperature sensor can be used for system-level temperature monitoring or thermocouple cold-junction compensation. The ADX112(Q) can operate in continuous conversion mode or in single-shot mode, where it automatically powers down after conversion. Single-shot mode significantly reduces current consumption during idle periods. Data is transferred via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™). The ADX112(Q) is rated for a temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.
