The AU3138 is a 10W per channel, high-efficiency, low idle current Class D stereo audio amplifier. It can drive stereo speakers with a load as low as 3.2Ω. In 1SPW mode, it consumes only 16mA (at 12V) of idle current, thereby extending audio playback time and improving performance for Bluetooth speakers, battery-powered devices, and other power-sensitive applications. The AU3138 features advanced EMI suppression with spread-spectrum control, which allows the use of inexpensive ferrite bead filters while meeting EMC requirements to reduce system costs. For TV applications, the undervoltage protection threshold of the AU3138M/AU3138P is set at 7.5V, which effectively prevents pop noise during power loss. For audio applications with battery power or low supply voltage, the AU3138S/AU3138T supports a minimum operating voltage of 3.5V. To further simplify the design, the AU3138 integrates essential protection functions, including undervoltage, overvoltage, power limiting, short-circuit, overtemperature, and DC speaker protection. All these protections come with automatic recovery functionality.
