The ADX920/1/2/3 devices are multichannel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit, delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with built-in programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), internal reference, and oscillator. These devices integrate all the functionalities typically required for portable, low-power medical electrocardiogram (ECG), motion, and fitness applications. With high integration and excellent performance, the ADX920/1/2/3 devices enable the creation of scalable medical instrument systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost. Each channel of the ADX920/1/2/3 devices features a flexible input multiplexer that can independently connect to internally generated signals for testing, temperature, and lead-off detection. Additionally, any input channel configuration can be used to derive the right-leg drive (RLD) output signal. The ADX920/1/2/3 devices operate at data rates of up to 8 kSPS. Lead-off detection can be implemented within the device using the internal excitation current sink or source. The ADX922/3 devices include fully integrated respiration impedance measurement functionality. The specified operating temperature range is –40°C to 85°C.
