  • The AFE964 is part of a series of quad, hex, and octa-channel, low-noise, 24-bit simultaneous sampling Δ-Σ analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This series integrates programmable gain amplifiers (PGA), internal references, and onboard oscillators, making it ideally suited for applications such as extracranial electroencephalogram (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG). With high integration and exceptional performance, AFE964/AFE966/AFE968 significantly reduces size, power consumption, and overall cost, facilitating scalable medical instrument systems. Each channel is equipped with a flexible input multiplexer that can independently connect internally generated signals for testing, temperature, and lead disconnection detection. Users can also configure any input channel to generate a patient bias output signal. These devices provide VDAC excitation sources for generating both DC and AC voltage excitation signals. An optional SRB pin can route common signals to multiple inputs for reference configuration. AFE964/AFE966/AFE968 supports data rates from 125SPS to 32kSPS and enables lead-off detection through internal excitation current sinks/sources. In multi-channel systems, multiple AFE964, AFE966, or AFE968 devices can be connected in a daisy chain configuration. The devices are available in QFP-64 and BGA-64 packages, with an operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.
