  • The AFE968 device is part of a series of four-channel, six-channel, and eight-channel, low-noise, 24-bit, simultaneous sampling delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This series integrates programmable gain amplifiers (PGA), internal references, and on-board oscillators, making it particularly suitable for applications such as extra-cranial electroencephalography (EEG) and electrocardiography (ECG). With high integration and outstanding performance, the AFE964/AFE966/AFE968 can significantly reduce size, power consumption, and overall cost, facilitating the development of scalable medical instrument systems. Each channel includes a flexible input multiplexer, enabling independent connection of internally generated signals for testing, temperature, and lead-off detection. Users can also configure any input channel to generate a patient bias output signal. These devices provide a VDAC excitation source, capable of generating both DC and AC excitation signals. The optional SRB pin can be used to route a common signal to multiple inputs for reference configuration. The AFE964/AFE966/AFE968 supports data rates from 125SPS to 32kSPS and can perform lead-off detection using internal excitation current sinks/sources. In multi-channel systems, multiple AFE964, AFE966, or AFE968 devices can be connected in series using a daisy-chain configuration. The devices are available in QFP-64 and BGA-64 packages, with an operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.
